Lincecum, who once topped a new wave of Giants young guns, faces the ex-Houston Colt .45's.
Houston won a franchise to begin play in the National League starting in the 1962 season. The team was called the "Colt .45's" after a "name the team" contest. In 1965, the Colt .45s moved into their new domed stadium, the Astrodome, which honored Houston's position as location of the nation's space program. The Colt .45s were renamed the Astros. The Washington Bullets remained the last gun-themed sports franchise until 1995.
